Robert Troncoso, Associate Attorney

Mr. Robert Troncoso is an associate attorney with the Law Offices of Michael E. Mitchell, A Professional Corporation.  Mr. Troncoso oversees the DMV practice of the office and handles writs (DMV appeals) as well as general criminal court appearances, motions and jury trials.

Mr. Troncoso worked for the Fresno County Public Defender's Office where he practiced extensively in the misdemeanor courts as well as providing assistance on more serious matters, such as homicide cases and death penalty cases.

Mr. Troncoso received his juris doctorate degree from the prestigious University of San Diego in 2006 and, in addition, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  Subsequent to acquiring his Economics degree, Mr. Troncoso worked in the field of accounting for major corporations, before he learned that his passion and ambition was to become an attorney.

Robert Troncoso joined the Law Office’s of Michael E. Mitchell in October of 2010 after working at the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office.  Mr. Troncoso has also worked in civil practice including both trials and appeals.  Mr. Troncoso has been admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Supreme Court of California.  He is also a member of the Fresno County Bar Association and the California Bar Association.  In addition, he has completed training as a certified field sobriety practitioner according to the standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).  Mr. Troncoso also stays on top of changes in the field of Criminal and DUI practices by attending seminars on a regular basis
