Fresno Criminal & DUI Attorney Michael E. Mitchell

Mitchell, A Professional Corporation.  From his early days working at the Alternate Public Defender's Office in Fresno, Barker & Associates, Mr. Mitchell knew that he would be dedicating his career to those accused of crimes. 

Feeling that the system is slanted towards the prosecution and law enforcement, he believed that he had to do his part to defend our Country's constitution and protect the rights of citizens who stand falsely accused of committing criminal violations. His office is based in Fresno County, California and is located near Blackstone Avenue and not far from Fig Garden Village.  With its central location, the Law Offices of Michael E. Mitchell, handles cases from Modesto to Bakersfield.  Mr. Mitchell and his associates regularly appear in the courts of Fresno, Hanford, Tulare, Visalia, Merced, Madera, Yosemite, Bass Lake, Los Banos, Coalinga, Clovis, Reedley, and Porterville.

Mr. Mitchell has handled many serious criminal and DUI jury trials.  Recently, he handled the matter of the United States of America v. Ibrahim A. Omer on charges of arms exporting which resulted in a not guilty verdict and was featured in the national press.  Mr. Mitchell also handled the matter of the People v. Johnny Sayavong which was featured on the popular program gang land.  Mr. Mitchell also has experience handling serious juvenile matters and recently one an attempted murder juvenile trial involving 19 different counts and four victims. 

As a member of the Central California Appellate Panel, Michael E. Mitchell, has worked on many serious criminal appeals for indigent defendants.  He is also a member of the California DUI Lawyers Association and has received the same training as an instructor in the field sobriety tests according to the standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), he has also attended and completed the pratictioner course which would be equivalent to the same basic field sobriety course that is given to California Highway Patrol Officers.

Mr. Mitchell is a local graduate of the San Joaquin College of Law, where he graduated with "distinction" and passed the California State Bar Exam on the first attempt.  He was also an award recipient of the Witkin award in Constitutional Law.  Prior to obtaining his juris doctorate degree, Mr. Mitchell graduated from the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, California where he received a degree in History.
